On Thursday, May 6th to promote our live broadcast of this year's Indianapolis 500, an IRL race car showed up during our remote at Atz Furniture in Kendallville. After a few local celebrities got rides, including Joe Atz, the News-Sun's Matt Getts & Kendallville mayor Suzanne Handshoe; the race car took on the Hawkmobile! |

East Noble sports is on the air and the Hawk is once again broadcasting East Noble Knights baseball games live. Here Ed Davis & Mike Shultz provide play-by-play coverage as well as witty banter from the East Noble baseball diamond pressbox. |
2010 Kendallville Home & Garden Show March 13th & 14th, 2010
It gets bigger every year, and this years' show was no exception. Breaking attendance records both days, the Kendallville Event Center was full to overflowing with booths & displays.

| 2009 Shipshewana Ice Festival
The charming northeastern Indiana town of Shipshewana celebrated winter December 28-31, 2009 with their Shipshewana Ice Festival. Members of the Michiana Ice Carvers Association carved sculptures out of ice displaying them throughout the town. Scott Pawl of WAWK "The Hawk" was there Wednesday, December 30th, broadcasting live from the Snowmobile Grass Drag Races and the Chili Cook-Off. |

Kendallville City Council meeting.

On Tuesday night October 6th, 2009 at the Kendallville City Council meeting
am1140 The Hawk's Terry Thacker was presented with an honor from
Kendallville mayor Suzanne Handshoe. For his efforts promoting the music
and culture of Kentucky, Kentucky Governor Steven L. Beshear has bestowed
the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky upon Terry.
Colonel Terry Thacker is now an ambassador of good will and fellowship
representing Kentucky around the world. The ceremony was attended by
members of Terry's family, fans of his radio show as well as WAWK staff.

On Friday, September 25, 2009, Pizza Hut of Kendallville officially became Pizza Hut/Wing Street of Kendallville. The Hawk was there to help celebrate.

| 2009 Noble County Fair
Every year am1140 WAWK 'The Hawk' broadcasts live every night from various locations at the Noble County Fairgrounds. 2009 was no exception as WAWK staff past and present broadcast radio remotes interviewing fairgoers and 4-H participants, and promoting the features of the Noble County Fair. WAWK 'The Hawk' was proud to again sponsor several of the featured entertainment events in the grandstands at this years fair.

2009 WAWK NIGHT at the ANGOLA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Saturday May 23rd was WAWK Night again at the Angola Motor Speedway and most of the Hawk staff was on hand to enjoy a night of exciting auto and truck racing at northern Indiana's finest racetrack. We gave stuff away to the capacity crowd with the track's t-shirt cannon, and the Hawkmobile was the pace car for the night. |

Tuesday through Saturday, May 19th-23rd, Michael Richter (here with The Hawk's Scott Pawl) brought the Treasure Hunters Roadshow to both the Holiday Inn Express in Kendallville as well as on the air to am1140 WAWK. |
