Taste of Noble County Ethnic Festival
On Saturday, May 17th, 2008, WAWK am1140 The Hawk celebrated the ethnic
diversity of our community at this annual event in Ligonier.

Held on the beautiful grounds of the Noble County Community Foundation,
the Taste of Noble County Ethnic Festival is a colorful explosion of food,
music, art & dancing celebrating various cultures from around the world.
There were informative interactive displays, animals & kids' games & rides. |

On Sunday, April 6th bluegrass fans George & Pam were married at the WAWK studios "live on-the-air" on Terry's Bluegrass Corner. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Shawn Kondas of the Bread of Life Tabernacle in Kendallville, Indiana.

Winners of a 4-Night Trip |

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bauman of Kendallville were the winners of a 4-night trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee from am1140 WAWK The Hawk. Handing the Baumans gift certificates is WAWK Program Director Scott Pawl. The trip included $200 in spending money and a tram trip to the top of the Gatlinburg Ski Mountain. Over 1,500 people registered for the vacation at the 10th Annual Kendallville Home & Garden Show at the Kendallville Events Center March 15th & 16th. Mr. Bauman is a Service Technician at VanGorder Sales in Avilla. |
